EXAMEN: A GOING DEEPER RETREAT

What is the Go Deeper Retreat?

This retreat is a GO DEEPER retreat offered by the Diocese of Rapid City geared towards high school youth who desire to grow deeper in their faith. This is for youth who are actively engaged in their faith. This is not a first retreat experience.

The retreat begins Friday at 5pm and ends at 4pm on Sunday. The following meals are provided: Friday dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner; Sunday breakfast and lunch. This October the retreat will be just high school youth Fri-Sun morning and the retreat will join the youth rally for the rest of Sunday ending with Mass with Bishop Peter starting at 3pm.

The October retreat will be led by the Servants of Christ Jesus, a community of priests and brothers committed to advancing the new evangelization through the praise, reverence, and service of God. They are inspired to live the Gospel through the evangelical poverty of St. Francis of Assisi and the apostolic formation of St. Ignatius Loyola.

EXAMEN:

This retreat will provide an opportunity for those youth who have encountered Christ and desire to deepen their faith and relationship with Him. Through the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the spiritual exercises, and the Examen prayer, the participants will gain a deeper understanding of basic discernment in prayer and a way of examining their spiritual life daily.
