What we do

The Office of Development serves the bishop, priests, and all parishioners to enhance the expansion of resources necessary for the ministries of the Diocese of Rapid City. Activities include building constituent relationships through various contacts and events.

This office also acts as a focal point and resource for the coordination of diocesan development and administration by promoting the theology of stewardship, fundraising, and special events.

Administrative duties for the development office include preparing and managing the development budget, working with various ministries in the diocese and addressing funding needs, maintaining the donor database to track gifts and parish members and working jointly with the finance department to track and balance donations.
