Pilgrimage to WYD | July 31–August 13, 2027
Join the Diocese of Rapid City on a pilgrimage to World Youth Day 2027 in South Korea and Japan. Experience Korean and Japanese Catholicism, visit historic sites, and participate in World Youth Day activities. This trip offers opportunities for reflection, cultural immersion, and fellowship with young Catholics from around the world.
Pricing includes a local Korean guide, overnight accommodation, breakfast and WYD meal vouchers, access to events, a public transportation pass, fundraising resources, and spiritual and logistical preparation, as well as a three-day trip to Japan. Priority registration deadline is Wednesday, September 30th!
Theology on Tap | Saturday, October 10
Theology on Tap is a diocesan event for young adults in their 20s and early 30s. Join us for our next gathering on Saturday, October 10th at Hay Camp Brewing Company. The first 15 people to register will receive a free SoDak Catholic t-shirt at the event!
Connor Flanagan, full-time Catholic musician and speaker, will give a talk entitled Death by Netflix: The Crisis of Curiosity in the Digital Age. He will explore the pitfalls of comparison and complacency, explain how curiosity can lead to vice, and discuss the importance of seeking genuine encounter over mindless entertainment.
Doors open at 6pm, with the talk starting at 6:30. We will serve light appetizers catered by Bashful Bison. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the bar.
