November National Adoption Month 2024: Honoring Youth and Strengthening Pathways for Lasting Bonds
In November Trinity Pregnancy and Adoption, a program of Catholic Social Services, joins communities nationwide in celebrating National Adoption Month 2024. This year’s theme, “Honoring Youth: Strengthening Pathways for Lasting Bonds,” emphasizes the importance of nurturing the relationships and support systems for children, birth parents, and adoptive families within the adoption triad.
National Adoption Month is a time to raise awareness about the need for adoptive families and to honor the unique journeys of youth in foster care and adoption. It is also an opportunity to highlight the critical role of community support in fostering lasting connections that help children thrive.
“We believe that every child deserves a loving family, and every family deserves support,” said Kelli Whartman, Department Head of Trinity Pregnancy and Adoption. “As we reflect on this year’s theme, we invite our community to come together to strengthen resources for youth and mothers considering adoption. Together, we can ensure that every child has the opportunity to develop meaningful and lasting bonds.”
Trinity Pregnancy and Adoption is committed to providing compassionate support for expectant mothers, birth parents, and adoptive families. Our mission is grounded in Catholic teaching, which emphasizes the sanctity of life and the dignity of every individual. We believe that every child is a gift, and our work seeks to honor that gift by creating loving and supportive environments for all involved in the adoption process.
To support this mission, we call upon our community to contribute resources, prayer intentions, or provide financial support to strengthen our programs.
“We can all play a role in creating a supportive environment for youth and families touched by adoption,” said Whartman. “By investing in our community, we ensure that every child has the chance to grow up in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. It is important that expectant families with limited options know that there are safe and loving families ready to open their homes.”
