Sr. Lorane Coffin, OSB, celebrated her 75th Jubilee on Saturday, July 11. The Sisters of St. Martin Monastery celebrated with a Mass and reception at Good Samaritan – St. Martin Village.  Members of Sr. Lorane’s family and many friends came to celebrate with her. 

She entered the community on June 25, 1951, and has served in many capacities over the years both within the community and outside of it. A lifelong learner herself, she taught in many capacities and in multiple communities in the diocese; Casper, Wyoming; and Columbia Falls, Montana. 

She returned to St. Martin Monastery when elected to serve as the prioress from 2000-2008 and later supervised the community kitchen and served as the community treasurer. Recently, she completed a writing project and serves on the St. Martin Village Resident Council.  She also enjoys frequent visits with family and friends.  

When reflecting on this milestone, she was filled with gratitude for her family and for the small parish community in Trail City where the seeds of faith were fostered in her. It is the love of God both received and given that has nourished and sustained her and all that she has been privileged to participate in over the years.
