Youthful Witnesses to Love

This year, 180 youth from throughout the diocese gathered Oct 13 at Terra Sancta Retreat Center for the annual Diocesan Middle School and High School Youth Rally. Nationally known speakers Brad Farmer and the local SCTJM sisters spoke to the theme of “Happiness Rooted in Love” answering the questions: Who am I? What was I made for? How do I have happy and healthy relationships with others? The speakers challenged the youth to go out and be witnesses of that love to the world.

In addition to the retreat day, 20 High School youth began the weekend with a Going Deeper retreat led by the SCTJM sisters. These retreats are designed for youth who have already attended another retreat-type event and are looking at growing in their faith.
