A Retreat for Moms: Beyond All Comparison

Join other moms from around the diocese for a restful weekend with the Lord and each other. The chaplain for the weekend is Fr. Joshua Lee from Cathedral OLPH. There will be presentations by Susan Safford and Annie Daniel. The retreat will begin on Friday night and end on Sunday after lunch. The retreat includes basic single monastic lodging*, all meals including some extra social events, and all retreat resources.

Annie Daniel is a mother of 10 children ages 21 to newborn. Originally from California, she came to the Black Hills to study secondary education and history at BHSU where she met her husband. She is a homeschooling mom who loves art, Shakespeare, sewing, listenting to podcasts sharing unusual facts about historical events, and making things beautiful.

Susan is a consecrated virgin who recently took on the role of caregiver for her parents. She holds a master’s degree in catechetics from Franciscan University of Steubenville and currently serves as the Director of Discipleship at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rapid City. She previously worked as the Director for Pastoral Ministries at the Diocese of Rapid City where she founded the VSI and Cor ad Cor programs. Susan has many years of experience teaching others how to encounter Jesus through relational prayer.
