BeFriender Training Retreat

We have two BeFriender Training Retreats scheduled this Summer and Fall. This training provides people with the sorely needed active listening skills, enabling them to offer a caring connection to those in need of a listening presence.

• This training can enhance current ministries such as homebound, or St. Vincent de Paul, youth ministry, RCIA facilitators or sponsors, parish staff, etc.
• BeFrienders are ideal ministers in parishes that are too small to be able to support a separate Separated & Divorced, Bereavement, or other healing ministries.
• Participants will also be eligible to serve as Zoom BeFrienders for a Diocesan Ministry, which will eventually be open to anyone in the diocese.
• Anyone can register.
• There is a nominal fee for each retreat which can easily be waived if financial need is at all a concern.
