Presentation and Q&A by: Christopher J. Motz, J.D. Executive Director, South Dakota Catholic Conference

Topic: Alone No More: The Joy of Christian Community

Chris Motz is the executive director of the South Dakota Catholic Conference, which represents the state’s bishops on public policy issues.  (By the way, vote ‘No’ on Amendment A.)  He has a lot of fun hosting “Faith & Politics,” a weekly podcast / radio broadcast.  Chris grew up in Sioux Falls, and after college served as a Marine infantry officer.  After active duty he went to law school and then practiced law in rural Minnesota.  He committed Marine heresy by joining the Air National Guard.  He loves the works of JRR Tolkein and built a replica of Bag End in his backyard.  He and his wife Hannah are members of the Emmanuel Community, a Catholic lay movement, and the Lord has blessed them with four energetic children.
