Life Principles Academy
The Social Justice Commission hosted “Life Principles Academy: Cultivating Pro-Life Leaders,” a Healing the Culture training event at the 2022 SJC Winter Workshop, held January 29 at Terra Sancta Retreat Center, Rapid City. The featured presenter was Camille Pauley, cofounder of Healing the Culture, who recently moved her business to Rapid City. The focus of the day was to equip participants to intelligently and effectively communicate human dignity and respect for human life, using ten fundamental principles of happiness, logic, ethics and justice.
Amy Julian, Director of Family Life Ministries, serves as the ex officio diocesan representative on the SJC. She said the schedule was arranged to give participants a retreat experience. The busy day included Holy Hour, reconciliation, lectures, workshops, group discussions, reflections and Mass. At the end of the workshop, 45 participants were awarded academy certification as advocates and teachers of life principles.
