Saint of Mercy
In his Bull of Indiction of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, Pope Francis highlighted our spiritual union with the saints. He invited us to seek their intercession and look to them as models of mercy. The Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization promoted eight books including “The Saints in Mercy.” The council stressed the witness of the saints to the mercy of God and their example of mercy in the world.
The diocesan Year of Mercy Committee chose 12 saints who models of mercy to inspire us. Choose a saint from the sidebar to learn more about each saint’s life. Follow in their footsteps. Turn to them in prayer for their intercession before God.
