On Veterans Day 2021 the Blessed Sacrament quilters presented patriotic quilts to ten veterans, active, and retired military. This year quilts were given to veterans from World War II, three from the air force, one navy, 3three army, and one Marine Corp.
The Blessed Sacrament quilters started this ministry in 2012 to help with the quilts for the Terra Santa Retreat center, and began making and presenting patriotic quilts in 2013. In addition to the Veterans quilt project the group makes quilts for Habitat for Humanity, South Dakota Children’s Home, Right to Life, benefit actions when requested., and baby quilts for the newly baptized in the parish.
