Father Gary Oreshoski retires
After 34 years, Fr. Gary Oreshoski is retiring effective July 1. Oreshoski was originally from Menominee, Michigan. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1975 and he flew B-52 aircraft. Father Oreshoski is also a graduate of St. Paul Seminary, St. Paul, Minn. He was ordained a deacon by the late-Bishop Harold J. Dimmerling on Nov. 27, 1987. He was ordained a priest by Bishop Paul Dudley of Sioux Falls, June 9, 1988. The Diocese of Rapid City was a vacant see at that time due to the death of Bishop Dimmerling and the Bishop of Sioux Falls came to Rapid City for the ordination. At the diocesan level he has served on the Priest Retirement and Aid Association Pension Board, on the Presbyteral Council, and the Spiritual Life Committee.

- Blessed Sacrament Church, Rapid City
- St. Paul Church, Belle Fourche, with missions at Newell and Mud Butte
- St. Francis Church, Sturgis
- St. Joseph Church, Faith, and missions at Red Owl and Plainview
- St. Anthony Church, Buffalo, with missions at Reva, Ralph and Cox
- Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Rapid City
- Christ the King Church, Presho with missions in Murdo and Draper
- Sacred Heart Church, Philip with missions in Midland and Milesville
