Explanation of the application process and basic timeline

Interested applicants should first speak to their pastor before applying to the program. Applicants may apply only with their pastor’s invitation and permission.
Once an applicant has gotten approval from his or her pastor and looked through the information for the CLEM formation process, they should fill out one of the applications below (based on what steps they have already completed).

Cor ad Cor Spirituality Year

All Certified Lay Ecclesial Ministers must complete the Cor ad Cor Spirituality year, which runs from September through May each year. Please use the link below to learn more and sign up for Cor ad Cor.

VSI Basic Formation

All Certified Lay Ecclesial Ministers must complete Basic certification in the Veritatis Splendor Institute (VSI), which runs from September through June each year. Please use the link below to sign up for VSI Basic. For more information on our VSI program, please visit our website.

CLEM Ecclesial Pastoral Formation (3rd year):

Once applicants have completed both VSI Basic and Cor ad Cor, they may apply to the 3^rd and final year of CLEM formation. This year will focus on pastoral and ministerial formation. Please use the link below to apply.

Online Courses through the Franciscan Catechetical Institute:

All Certified Lay Ecclesial Ministers must complete two online courses through Franciscan’s Catechetical Institute. Please review the instructions below about how to set up your account. Additionally, please contact Sr. Sara (skowal@diorc.org) or Lenorr Snyder (lsnyder@diorc.org) to approve your initial course selections.
