| The Catholic Church in Colome was built in 1910. The land for the church was donated by the town site company. The walls of the building were not plastered during the first year allowing the winter winds to blow through the church. According to the diocesan archives, the ladies of the parish were instrumental in fund-raising for the completion of the church. In 1954 parishioners added a basement and enlarged the church. Later renovations have included a wheelchair ramp and escalator. (Archive photo) |
