Vocations Office begins icon project

The icon project is a program in which an icon of Jesus washing the feet of the apostles will be passed from family to family in the parishes of our diocese. It will travel with a prayer for families to pray for and encourage vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life in their homes. Families will also be praying for priests and consecrated men and women serving God and the people of our diocese. The icon stays with each family for a week, then travels to the next family. The Office of Vocations is currently in the process of visiting deaneries and introducing the project. Each deanery will receive an icon to pass among their families. (WRC photo)
