Married Sweethearts
The annual diocesan celebration for Married Sweethearts was held February 9. Bishop Blase Cupich celebrated Mass at Our Lady of the Black Hills Church, Piedmont. Father Mark McCormick concelebrated Mass and Deacon John Osnes assisted. Family Life Ministries sponsored the event which was attended by 59 couples. At the dinner, which was held at a nearby reception hall, (Top left) Josiah and Vicki Wallace, Rapid City, were recognized as the longest married couple, having celebrated 61 anniversaries. (Lower left) The newlywed award went to Paul and Taryn Yantes, Rapid City, who have been married a year-and-a-half. (Lower right) Michael and Tammy Keffeler, Piedmont, won the prize for having the anniversary closest to February 9.
