Susan Safford

   Under the leadership of Father Brian Christensen, Director of Vocations, Susan Safford will serve as the full-time Coordinator of Vocations. The position consists of promoting a positive culture of vocations in parish and family life and making vocation presentations to groups in the diocese. She will assist in the development, training, and support of parish vocation committees and/or parish vocation coordinators. Her duties include organizing Totus Tuus and other retreats; visits to seminaries and convents; and working with parish youth ministers, directors of religious education, campus ministers, and Catholic school personnel in regard to vocation programs and resources. She will also direct awareness programs such as National Vocations Awareness Week, World Day of Prayer for Vocations, and World Day of Consecrated Life.

    Previously she served as the part-time Coordinator of Vocations and as the Director of Faith Formation at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rapid City.
