The Western South Dakota Catholic Foundation is committed to promoting and strengthening the Catholic Church by providing people an opportunity to contribute to a permanent endowment fund and make other types of gifts that will provide financial resources for meeting the spiritual needs of future generations of Catholics in the Diocese of Rapid City.
Only investment income from the endowment fund is distributed to support Catholic ministries in western South Dakota.
In addition to restricted endowment funds, an unrestricted gift to the foundation provides the flexibility to offer financial assistance wherever the need is greatest.
Over $700,000, or one-third of the annual diocesan budget, comes from the foundation and charitable organizations from outside of South Dakota.
